Dwain Chambers Names Names in Steroid Expose’

Published by SteroidSources.com at 9:02 pm under Steroids in Sports

Names of players in the Dwain Chambers steroid expose Embattled British Sprinter Dwain Chambers has implicated the names of several American athletes who are known to be using performance-enhancing drugs. Chryste Gaines, Sprinters Kelli White, and Alvin Harrison who were all busted and had their own dose of suspensions are among those dragged names in this controversy that the author was able to dig out during his connection with BALCO founder, Victor Conte.

In the book “Race Against Me: My Story“, Chambers said that Conte kept on asking him to talk to other athletes, to his coach, and to Chryste Gaines and Kelli, Alvin Harrison as to name a few. On Wednesday, this controversial book finally landed in the hand of The Associated Press although public copies are set to be released on Monday, March 9th. Chambers already won the 100-meter gold medal during the 2002 European Championships although he tested positive for THG the following year. Because of this hullabaloo, he was banned for two years, serving it between 2003 and 2005.

Controversial Chambers said in his book that he is now aware on Victor’s role and the reason behind why he kept on looking after the best athletes. The author further commented that Victor was a pharmacologist who had a living to make. These words are expected to create another controversy in the sports world. Chambers admits that he began to take THG, which is better known as “The Clear,” and different drugs like HGH and EPO during the year 2002 after he was able to meet Conte in the United States during training.

He added that as time went on, he said that he learned to play with his thoughts by associating athletes to certain kind of drugs. He further stressed that Kelli White became his main confidante until the time when they started dating for more than a year. White garnered the championship place for the 100 and 200-meter races during the 2003 world championships which were held in Paris; however she lost both of her medals when she tested positive for modafinil.

Although Gaines and Harrison never tested positive when it came to drug use, the two along with Tim Montgomery, were banned because of all the evidence obtained in the BALCO criminal investigation. The book of Chambers will surely create an explosion in the sports world again because of the link of these players to prohibited drugs. With this, can body-enhancing drugs and sports mix together? Probably; despite the law against it, there are just so many ‘truths’ that are left covered.

Chambers’ revelation is expected to catch the attention of these people who are supposed to be the pillars of sports. As an institution, these authorities are supposed to ensure that no athlete’s hand had ever touched any performance-enhancing drugs. Once the book comes out, expect heads to roll…and for sure the body count will be high.
