Published by SteroidSources.com at 10:59 pm under Celebrities and Steroids

John Cena, a former WWE champion is making the media rounds this week to promote his new movie 12 Rounds which will be in theaters March 27. He made apperances with ESPN, MTV, FM stations and other publications. Most of his interviews focused on his personal life, as a pro wrestler, and being an actor. In an interview by MTV Movies Editor Josh Horowitz, Cena accepted the dare to take 12 rounds of ice cream and cakes for every question from the editor. In an invitation from a radio station, Cena showed his other skill which is in the field of music.

What makes it more interesting is not the movie he is promoting but his opinion on the steroid use in baseball. The former WWE star says Alex Rodriguez is an embarrassment to Yankees. For him, Alex Rodriguez should “go to jail” for using steroids. In an interview with the New York Daily News Cena said, “(Rodriguez) got defensive, saying he used because he felt he needed to. But if there was a set of (legal) stipulations in place he may never have even considered it.”

According to Cena, “The government should take the initiative, and if you get caught using drugs, then you should go to jail. A criminal record will hurt your endorsements and long-term contracts.”

Although Cena admitted that he is also a baseball fan. When asked in another interview, he tipped his hat to the Tampa Bay Rays but according to him Red Sox is still where his heart is because he grew up in that area.

Cena said that he will still be doing his job in WWE when asked if he is going to retire from the pro. However, he said that in playing a physical sport you should know when to retire. He told sfexaminer.com he loves wrestling because of the thrill of doing live television. “It’s so unpredictable. I love the fans, the spontaneity and the showmanship. I want to be a full-time actor and a full-time wrestler. There are stigmas attached to both, but they don’t concern me,” he said.

He also said that he never missed any WWE commitment. “I’m not about to start now. If you look at someone like The Rock, we get him to show up at an event maybe once a year. I’m going to be much more involved than that. I love being part of the WWE, and I can’t think of a single reason why I’d ever want to distance myself from it,” he added.

Cena’s role as action star starts with his first film “The Marine,” an action movie. Cena returns with “12 Rounds” which is produced by WWE studios. The movie is directed by Renny Harlin, who who also directed other blockbuster action films such as “Die Hard 2,” “Cliffhanger” and “Deep Blue Sea.”

John Cena is a 4-time WWE champion and an accomplished hip-hop star.
