Published by SteroidSources.com at 11:32 am under Steroids in Sports

The death of Mexican wrestler Abismo Negro added to the increasing number of professional wrestlers dying at a young age. Abismo Negro which means Black Abyss is Andrés Alejandro Palomeque González. He died at the age of 37.

What makes his death a mystery to some is the fact that he was drowned in a river early in the morning. Gonzalez is aboard a bus going to Mexico City but later became agitated and panicked. He told the bus driver to let him off the bus. He eventually lost in the dark hillside since it is still 1:30 in the morning.

Abismo was able to text his wife about what was happening to him but that was his last communication. Worried about the condition of his husband, she contacted Gonzalez’ local wrestling promoter Vicente Martinez to search for his husband. The search for Abismo took time as they still have to ask people from the town and showed some pictures of Abismo to facilitate the search. Their search lead them to a river near El Rosario where they found the floating body of Gonzalez. Some speculated that Gonzalez might possibly trapped in the mud while crossing the river but was unable to escape and drowned.

Jesus Lopez, the local coroner said that the cause of death was an anxiety attack. This could be due to his anabolic steroid use which triggered the attack. Abismo had a bad reputation for his involvement on drug problems. Others are also saying that there might be a foul play in Abismo’s death. It is still not clear whether the authorities will conduct a separate investigation on the incident.

Abismo Negro started his career with AAA in Mexican wrestling which is being broadcast on a local television. His other stints include playing with CMLL and NOAH in Japan. He also had a few appearances in US wrestling like in WWF in 1997 Royal Rumble and RAw. He was also part of Team Mexico during TNA Wrestling’s 2004 World X-Cup.

Another professional wrestler passed away last weekend, Steve Doll, 44. He was hospitalized in 2007 after having a seizure related to an intestinal blockage. He was placed on life support for years and his family decided to remove him from his ventilator.

Steve Doll became a star when he partnered with Rex King in the 1990’s. They called themselves the Southern Rockers in 1989. As a tag team, Doll and King had a good chemistry. They were known as Steven Dunn and Timothy Well a.k.a. “Well Dunn” in WWE. They worked in WWF from 1993 – 1995. Doll was also given a chance to fight as an undercard for World Championship Wrestling in 1996 – 1997.
