Canadas multi-million steroid dealer pleaded guilty for steroid trafficking Who would expect that a man who just wants to lose some weight using steroid would eventually turn himself to be one of Canada’s biggest steroid dealer. The operation even reached international market with connection with an Ireland steroid drug king.

Glenn Donald England, a 38-year-old, pleaded guilty to possession of steroids for the purpose of trafficking in a Canadian court last week. Court records shows that England was arrested with possession of a large volume of steroids and other paraphernalia used on his steroid dealing. His conviction is expected to be handed down by the court next week.

In the report of Tony Blais of SunMedia, he detailed how England was nabbed by the authorities in Canada. England was arrested after an 8 month surveillance of his business by the city police and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). A raid on his apartment in West Edmonton on October 2006, revealed his multi-million steroid business. The police officers found more than 200,000 steroid tablets. The estimated street value of those tablets was around $400,000 to $600,000. Aside from the tablets police also found 23.5 litres of steroid oils with an estimated value of $235,000. Cash worth $50,000 was also recovered and packaging materials used on his steroid distribution.

The connection of England with an Irish steroid trafficker was established when the authorities found evidences during the search on his apartment. They found itemized steroid orders for Brian Wainstein which is considered as the Irish steroid king. Police also seized documents with names and addresses of customers, courier delivery receipts, phone records, money transfer receipts and computer text messages.

Wainstein already sent England worth $1.6 million to $2.3 million of steroids. It totaled to 640,000 steroid tablets and 37.7 litres of steroid oils. Based from the records those were the transactions between February to October in that same year.

The Canada Border Services Agency helped the police when they were able to intercept steroid shipments in Vancouver which was addressed to an Edmonton resident. During the follow up investigation, undercover agents were able to make orders for 17 packages of steroid tablets and steroids in oil form from Wainstein worth $2.5 to $3.5 million. The shipments came from Moldova, Hong Kong and China.

England’s lawyer, Jake Chadi suggested that his client should only met an 18-month conditional sentence to be served in the community and a fine. However, Joseph Selvaratnam, the federal prosecutor handling the case asked the court to give England 30 months in jail. The sentencing of England which is scheduled next week is another triumph of the Canadian authorities in curtailing the illegal distribution of steroids in their country.
