Brian Cushing Plans to Sue Website on Erroneous Steroid News

Published by SteroidSources.com at 5:44 pm under NFL and Steroids

Brian cushing plans to sue nfldraftbible for erroneous report on his alleged positive steroid test at the Combine The controversy on the alleged steroid use of linebacker Brian Cushing is not yet over. It’s time for Cushing to get back at those people who accused him as a steroid user. He was reported a few weeks ago in the nfldraftbible.com that he is one of those draft picks who tested positive for steroids at the Combine. The site also named Clay Mathews as one of the players with positive test results. Although the site did not provide additional information on where they got the report. They only mentioned that it came from sources inside the league. This accusation made an instant headline in the football league and the media and as well as the fans were all craving to know the real story.

Interviews with the head of the league, the doping panel, and usc coach and others were on the rescue to deny the report. They immediately released press releases to counteract the information on the site. They even asked the site to make an apology and make corrections to the report.

Websites like the profootballtalk.com was immediately emailed by the camp of Cushing through Tom Candon about the situation. Candon is the agent of Brian Cushing. He said in a statement that there is no truth to the vicious and false rumor regarding Brian Cushing’s drug test at the Combine. “Brian, in fact, has been informed by league representatives that his test result was negative for any banned substances. Furthermore, neither the League office nor Brian’s representatives have been contacted regarding a positive test.”

Now that the draft is over, the news about Cushing’s positive test is slowly fading from the headlines. However, with the recent radio interview on Brian Cushing by ESPN, it seems that it is still a major issue to take a look into. He is planning to sue the site. He said that he will take action against the NFLDraftBible.com for posting inaccurate report on their site. Since he was already into the Houston Texan and his preparation for the draft is over, his next step is to address the allegation of the site for his positive steroid test.

Cushing said in the ESPN interview in Texas that he is already tired of these allegations. “I’m pretty tired of everything happening with all these supposed rumors [and] people trying to tarnish my reputation,” Cushing said. “I’m not sure what happened. I don’t know if it’s my playing attitude [or] people just don’t like how I handle myself. But you know that’s too bad for them.”

Although the site already retracted its report and made an apology when the official list of the steroid test came out, they may still be in big trouble. They could face a libel suit. Clay Mathews may also follow suit but he has not made any pronouncement.
