Actor accused his co-star in 'Save by the Bell' as steroid user, steroid dealer pleaded guilty The revelation of Dustin Diamond, one of the actors in the “Save by the Bell” TV hit of the 1990’s, is now a hot topic in the celebrity industry. In his tell-all book, Diamond wrote about his life, experiences and relationship with other co-stars in the TV series. The book, “Behind the Bell“, detailed some of the personal activities of the cast including their sexual encounters, partying and the most controversial is the allegation that some of his co-stars used drugs and steroids. One of the names he mentioned in the book is actor Mark Paul Gosselaar, who used steroids to bulk up his body during their stint in the TV show.

In the article of sfgate.com, Gosselaar could be on steroids during “Saved by the Bell: The College Years” spin-off in 1994. This was based on the accounts of Diamond that Gosselaar got ripped and toned muscles within a very short period of time. “He suddenly exploded with manliness, loading 25 pounds of muscle on his once-scrawny frame in, oh, about a month,” Diamond said. He also shared information on how his co-stars used recreational drugs during a particular episode. “I just can’t help but think of all the off-camera drinking and recreational drugs being indulged by cast members during that time… I could smell a certain ’smoke’ wafting from the crack (underneath castmates’ dressing room doors),” he added.

Dustin Diamond, who played the role of Screech in the TV series, said in an interview that he did not write the book as a stab at everyone or with the purpose of putting his co-stars in the negative limelight. “I don’t throw anyone under the bus more than myself and it’s an honest account at what we went through. The more upset people get, the more truthful you know it is,” he said. He also added that he is not afraid meeting Mark Paul Gosselaar or Mario Lopez.

Gosselaar already dismissed the steroid use allegations. He denied being in a rehab and Mr. Belding was not his crack dealer.

On the other hand, the actor who played as a steroid dealer in the movie “The Wrestler” pleaded guilty for steroid possession. Scott Siegel of Nautilus place, New Rochelle was charged with 2 counts of using a deadly weapon to assault officers and 1 count of possessing and distributing anabolic steroids. He made the guilty plea last Friday at the U.S. District Court in White Plains. Based on court records, 1,500 bottles of anabolic steroids were recovered by federal agents from his car, parent’s townhouse and at his home. It also includes $100,000 worth of cash.

Siegel played the role of Greg, a steroid dealer, in the movie “The Wrestler”. He acts as a supplier of steroids to Mickey Rourke, who played the lead role.

Siegel’s lawyer also requested the court to allow his client to post bail because of the doctor’s failure to treat the condition of Siegel in the Westchester County jail. The lawyer claims that Siegel is suffering from a very low testosterone level. Some of the effects of low level of testosterone are moodiness, dizziness and depression. Siegel may spend 5 years in jail for the charges.
