Published by SteroidSources.com at 7:07 pm under Buying Steroids, NFL and Steroids

Richard Thomas who claims to be the largest steroid dealer in Florida plead guilty “You name the sport, and I’ve sold steroids to athletes who play it.” This is what Richard Thomas said to the police when he was arrested for possessing and dealing anabolic steroids. The arrest of Thomas was considered as one of the largest apprehension in Central Florida. His claim has caused some professional sports organization to react and immediately counteract his allegations. Capitals’ spokesperson recently issued a statement that they have not found any member of the team involved in the use of steroids. “We never found any link,” said Nate Ewell of the Capitals.

Thomas said that the players of the Washington Nationals and Capitals are just some of his clients. With his long list of clients from the different field of sports like baseball, football and hockey, Thomas’ activities were still illegal. He also failed to show concrete evidences to prove his allegations.

On Tuesday, Richard Thomas pleaded guilty to one count of possessing anabolic steroids with intent to sell. He could be facing up to 5 years in jail and may be required to pay a fine amounting to $250,000. In the AP report, the request of Thomas for a lighter penalty was not opposed by the prosecutors. However, it is not yet clear what particular punishment he will ask as a result of the plea agreement. Both parties have not issued official statements to clear the issue. His lawyer, Mark Taylor, did not issue any comment when contacted by the press.

During a search in his Lakeland home, authorities found thousands of pills and injectable liquids which were believed to be anabolic steroids. Drug paraphernalia were also found on his home. The total value was estimated at $100,000. According to Thomas, the anabolic steroids were imported from other countries.

Polk County Sheriff’s Office was able to get a search warrant when the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials told them that a package of steroids was spotted being shipped from Slovakia addressed to Richard Thomas. Based on court records, authorities put a tracking beacon that would alert them when the package was opened. When the detectives conducted the search, Thomas was the only occupant and was in possession of the opened package of steroids.

Thomas’ wife was also arrested but the charges against her were dropped. Richard Thomas, who is a former bodybuilder and a personal trainer, is currently on bail. In previous interviews, Thomas said that his inclination to bodybuilding was influenced by Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was later involved in the distribution of anabolic steroids to professional athletes and bodybuilders.

The sentencing date of Thomas is not yet scheduled.
